Batsford Arboretum

Rising visitor numbers to this venue meant that existing foodservice areas were under pressure to meet demand.  This new café project was designed primarily to alleviate this issue. Initially Space Group was appointed in an interior design and contract furniture capacity. This soon developed to into works for a full interior fit out, front of house dining space, kitchen and servery.

Our design consultants worked with both the client directly and appointed contractors throughout the project.  This involved reviewing and offering solutions to their existing plans for the new kitchen. Our team worked through the problems, helping make it safe, and compliant with regulations as well as improving the flow and efficiency of the kitchen.

Subsequently, Space Group were appointed to complete the interior works. Our interior fit out team were appointed to strip out and refurbish both the front and back of house, which included new flooring, planters, lighting and joinery works.

Our contract furniture team did a great job at specifying, supplying and installing brand new furniture for the café. This included a mixture of loose table and chairs, benches and banquette seating, providing the customers with a variety of stylish and practical options to choose from.

The priority for the new servery area design was to improve customer flow and allow a varied menu and assortment of beverages to be available from ambient, chilled and hot displays.

The  completed project now allows the client to operate the café in a more efficient way as well as offer an enhanced visitor experience with its bright modern style.
